The route concept here pairs Badaling with Changling. If another tomb is offered instead, ask why and check that it matches your interests. Dingling and the Sacred Way are different choices

Dingling is the choice for the excavated underground palace. Its descent and return involve stairs, so discuss access if knees, balance or enclosed spaces are a concern. It should be a deliberate substitution, not an unexpected addition late in the day.

The Sacred Way gives a different perspective through its processional landscape and stone animal and official figures. For many visitors it is a satisfying companion to one tomb, but adding every tomb stop reduces time at each. Build in lunch and the return journey
