First visit the Underground Palace, also called Dingling, one of the 13 Ming Dynasty Tombs. "Not been on the Great Wall, not a great man."—Chinese proverb. Today explore the Mutianyu Great Wall, the most beautiful section of the Great Wall around Beijing. At the Bird's Nest (the Beijing National Stadium), Usain Bolt of Jamaica broke the world record by winning both the 100 and 200 gold medals at the Olympics; at the Water Cube (the National Aquatics Centre), Michael Phelps of America makes history with 8 Gold Medals in Beijing.
Today start your bus tour with the excursion to the Underground Palace, also called Dingling, one of the 13 Ming Dynasty Tombs. From the Yongle Emperor onwards, 13 Ming Dynasty Emperors were buried in the surrounding area. Then head to Mutianyu Great Wall, the most beautiful section of the Great Wall in Beijing. It has an extemely beautiful natural landscape once you are up on the wall, green, densely wooded. This section of the Great Wall is comparatively smoother than most of other sections, an ideal site both for holiday makers and the Great Wall hikers. On the way to the less crowded Mutianyu Great Wall, you have a chance to visit a jade carving factory, learning about the stone carving and doing some shopping if you like.
After yummy Chinese lunch, you are returned to the downtown Beijing and pass by the Olympic Green, having a distant view both the National Stadium - the " Bird Nest" and National Aquatics Center - the Water Cube. Then, you are arranged to relax yourself by drinking the famous Chinese tea and enjoying Chinese tea ceremony in a well-know Chinese tea market. After the whole day tour, you are transferred back to your different hotels around 6:00pm.
