I’m Daniel Li. I was was born and raised in the “garden” city of Hangzhou, the capital of Zhejiang Province, about 2 hours’ driving distance southeast of the metropolitan Shanghai, China.
Studying foreign language was a priority and passion for me throughout my middle and high school years. In the middle of the year 1980, I successfully passed the national exams and was admitted to the Nanjing International Relations Institute of PLA for English studies in September on the same year.
After graduation in July, 1984, I was assigned a job in Guangzhou teaching English at the Guangzhou Naval Command College (Formerly Guangzhou No.02 Naval Submarine College). Over time I missed my hometown – Hangzhou. I left my job and return to my charming hometown – Hangzhou in 1988.
Upon returning to Hangzhou, I immediately joined China International Travel Service Hangzhou Branch – one of the leading local travel agencies in Hangzhou, China.
A few years in the industry inspired me for new challenges. In 1994, I moved to Beijing to continue my travel career in the vibrant capital.
Now writing travel blogs is one of my favorite things to do and I’m always willing to help international visitors plan their trip to my city of Beijing.
